What happened to AC Milan’s Flamini and Senderos?

Submitted by Chris on October 3, 2008 – 15:21 One Comment

I, like many of you, keep track of what ex-Gunners are doing after their departure. Mathieu and Philippe are fresh of that and I do follow the Italian Serie A and their teams pretty closely. The latest on the two A.C. Milan stars are not good for those who still “love” these them. The Frenchman, after a turbulent start to the season declard:

Yes, I had hoped for more minutes. However, there is a coach who makes his choices and we must accept them. The important thing is the victory, the three points and the continuity of our positive results.

At the age of 24, you are rarely so philosophical when you sit on the bench after leaving a team where you a solid regular. He’s clearly disappointed that he’s behind Gattuso, who was so close to leave the Italian side this summer. Actually, I feel for the lad. He was one of my favourites last season, always giving 101% out there so it’s a big shame to see him on the bench and struggling when he’s on. He’s in the position many of our young ones are when they only get match minutes in the league cup.

Also not enjoying himself at the Milan club is Philippe Senderos. Contrary to Flamini, the Swiss only played a friendly match with them, a match lost 0-2. He was bitterly disappointed after that match but even more disappointed following the injury he sustained later on which prevented him from making an official debut with the side. Speaking with some A.C. Milan fans, they have high expectations on him, which is funny, considering he was so shaky when playing for us. Incidentally, Milan want him back as soon as possible, especially after yesterday’s injury to Kaladze in the UEFA Cup.

I’ll keep you updated on the progress of these two.
