Could Velizar Dimitrov replace Rosicky?
You have to feel for Tomas; his injury is turning out into a nightmare. Reports say that he was hospitalised yesterday after complaining of sickness and severe headaches which seemed to be a reaction to the injections he received in his knee. A close friend of the player told The Sun:
He doesn’t feel good and it is a worrying time for him. He’s been getting headaches which are thought to be caused by the injections. He had to go to hospital and is on a special course of jabs ordered straight from the manufacturer.
I wonder what sort of injections he was given, maybe some to accelerate his comeback, but with this pace, I’m not sure we’ll see him in 2008.
Now if Arsene Wenger believes Nasri was not signed to replace Tomas but to play alongside him, someone else has to come in to fill the Rosicky gap and from what I just saw in the first half of Bulgaria vs Italy, Velizar Dimitrov could be the man. Now make no mistake, this is not a transfer rumour, it’s just a personal observation. The only “problem” I see is his age: 29, but as a short-term replacement, he’s quick, agile, very technical and according to Wikipedia, he has some sharp dribbling skills which I can confirm after the first 45 minutes of the match.
And he’s also playing with the #7 shirt.
