Almunia tips Carlos Vela to succeed
Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia believes Mexico’s Carlos Vela can be the future of Arsenal’s forward line, but also claims he is to be patient. He told Almunia told Mexican newspaper Esto:
Carlos is a tremendous kid with innate technical qualities for football but it is difficult for youngsters at Arsenal. The gaffer gives them many opportunities (to play) but he only plays them gradually during important matches. Carlos has the personality of a fighter, he is a happy character and has the characteristics to succeed here.
Well, I don’t believe Carlos is the future of the club, he’s the present and should be utilised more often. I am definitely against the policy of using these young players in the League Cup and you insist on that policy even after they succeed there.
