Arsenal vs Fenerbahce, post-match thoughts: Back to no goals after the Fulham defeat

Submitted by Chris on November 6, 2008 – 16:00 No Comment

Don’t you love Internet points? I was lucky to find one and hence be able to comment on the match. Unfortunately, I found no places showing it yesterday night as every bar and restaurant in the area was showing the Real Madrid-Juventus but I did read newspapers and websites this morning and I was glad to read about Ramsey and Djourou getting a start and from what I read, they did really well.

I was however disappointed to read about Van Persie playing the whole match. What do you think will be the line-up up front for the big match against Manchester United? Bendtner alone upfront? Surely Nicklas will play and there’s an outside chance that Vela will feature as well. If so, why didn’t Wenger start with the two yesterday? When Vela came in, it was Bendtner who came off, an unusual decision if you ask me.

I have a feeling Wenger will indeed start with the only Bendtner up front against United, supported by the likes of Nasri, Diaby and Walcott. I read he was not that good yesterday but I don’t want to dream any further on Vela and him featuring when it matters most. We just have to wait and see I’m afraid. Incidentally, yesterday’s match was only the 2nd in which we failed to find the net, the first one being that horrible defeat away at Fulham.

I’ll be back writing regularly as from tomorrow friends. In the meantime, let’s all prepare – mentally and physically – for next Saturday’s big match, which many are calling our last train for the title.
