Fabregas met with A.C. Milan according to Italian website
According to Italian sports website sportmediaset.it, Cesc Fàbregas is A.C. Milan’s summer target for next season. The website reports that the club already met with the player’s agent, Darren Dein, as other websites are now confirming.
This, if true, consolidates my theory that the captaincy was Arsene Wenger’s desperate move to keep the Spaniard at the Emirates. Cesc already commented on the fact that he misses Hleb and Flamini and the pressure is too much as he’s the only experienced midfielder, hence a possible move comes to no surprise. The Italian giants did show interest in Cesc after last season’s Champions League tie, out of which Flamini and Senderos joined them and Adebayor was the club’s sole summer target.
I still believe silverware is the key to Cesc’s loyalty to the club although if he decides to leave, it will be for Barcelona and not A.C. Milan. For now, let’s just hope that these are the usual transfer rumours around Cesc, especially now that we’re back in the title race and he’s starting to find last season’s formidable form.

Cesc loves Arsenal. Another cheap rumours!!! Get a live Italians. If cesc leave arsenal then it will be when he is 30yrs old. and of course he will not want to retire in MILAN!! HA HA HA
Hope you’re right mate. The news is now also on the Telegraph, (article here) so it may be more than just a rumour. Also, I’m afraid Cesc won’t stick for that long, especially with Barcelona constantly asking for him.
He will just rubbish this rumours as usual. Cesc is loyal to us and no one can take it away from him. I am not worried at all mate. It is just media causing mischiefs
Maybe just maybe, Arsene has made Cesc captain (to A. try and persuade him to stay) and B. hike up the asking price just in case he does go …. Ramsey, Wilshere, Merida, randall all play in the same position and all show good promise (i remember watchin cesc’s debut against rotherham at highbury IN THE CARLING CUP) the circle may very well repeat itself … who could turn down £30-£50mil for one player, especially Arsenal who seem very focused on revenue ……
Just a theory !!!!!! i hope he stays for many years ….. COME ON YOU REDS !! (Bendtner dont get a haircut anytime soon i heard it is cold in Spartek Moscow this time of year)
i put my life on the line that if fabregas was to ever leave it would be for barcelona his home land and hopefully that will be after man many years time, because for all he has done it would be lovely to see him win so much trophies and medals and also recieve high rewards and hopefully he can leave like viera and henry as it would also be lovely to see him happy and playing for his home land. but as im not suprised his loyalty to the club arsenal is amazing so if he was to leave will proberbly be around 25 but i’d also love to see him stay for up to a decade but as for this ac milan rumors NONESENSE
what do you expect as a player in a team? With Henry leaving, why wasn’t Gilberto given captaincy? But wenger gave Gallas…hence the departure of Gilberto, whom would have never left if he was shown the same loyalty he gave to the club, now…because of inexpierience we find confidence levels dropping.Wenger had the opportunity to buy players before the league started, but he chose not to.Alonso…why could’nt we get him? He’s an absolute star for that kak chicken-liverpool team…who would team up well with cesc..but we stuck with kukka Bendtner..shit my dog can run faster than him or maybe he should ask the goalkeeper to turn around then he’d score…in the arse.Fuck he’s useless, would you continue to give 200% knowing Bendtner is at the end of the ball trying deperately, hoping and praying he could score?I think not as the team suffers from hard work being done in vain…Should cesc go?Id wish him the very best should he decide,he gave his best always, its a sad and horrible thought..but Wenger needs to think twice with signing players of very low quality.Cesc if you could read this…at least stay until Rosicky and Edu return, maybe then you’d think twice…
Yes TAR, I see what you’re trying to say, that is almost what I wrote weeks ago in “The end of Cesc Fabregas”. Although I don’t agree when a player dictates who a coach should buy, I would understand if Cesc leaves. What I didn’t like about him so far is the behaviour he has on the pitch.
You may know beforehand that you’ll go out there and your long passes will not be converted(although Nicklas did vs Kiev), but that doesn’t mean that you should go out there uninterested.
I also agree with Cbri01 on Wenger not refusing huge money for Cesc, but according to reports, he did refuse a lot for Adebayor last summer, so …
maybe £30-50 mil is abit conservative … i heard the Abu Dhabi fella say £135 mil …. although i think (hope) Fabregas has more morals then tht … although how much say he would have in the matter is another story ….
I think it will depend on who can ultimately replace Cesc. Ramsey was brought in by Wenger for a reason, and yesterday Arsene compared Merida with Cesc. Maybe it’s a hint of what is to come. Let me tell you this: Cesc this season was not as instrumental as he was last season and maybe that’s why we’re -8 from the top, but I want to look at the glass half full and believe that in case of his departure, we’ll have players good enough to replace him.
Not Denilson of course.
