“I am 100% committed to Arsenal and honoured to be captain”, says Fabregas

Written by Chris on December 5, 2008 – 2:00

Yesterday’s news saw many of us having mixed reactions on Cesc Fabregas and his loyalty to the club. Fa seems to have got it right as Cesc did indeed commit to the club. He told the official website:

I am honoured to be wearing the captain’s armband for Arsenal and I am 100% committed to this club. My future is here. It is true that I said I admire Milan for their rich history and the way they play football – but that is as far as the story goes.

Am I happy? Of course I am. Deep inside I want to believe that Cesc loves the club and wants to stay with us as long as possible although I still have a feeling that another trophyless season would raise a lot of questions on his future. But for now, let’s enjoy our new captain ahead of the Wigan match for which, as always, a preview report will be available tomorrow(Friday).
