“I hope to be an Arsenal regular in the near future”, Fabianski

Arsenal reserve goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański believes he’s not far from becoming the side’s regular goalkeeper and he’s fighting very hard to achieve that. He said:

I am fighting really hard, and hope the future will be mine. I try to stay positive. I am always working hard in training, preparing myself as best as I can for the games, so we will see what happens. You have to be patient – especially for me, because before I came to Arsenal I was playing regularly as the first-choice goalkeeper at Legia Warsaw. Since I came here, I have had to show that I am ready to fight for my place.

Manuel is being our leader on the pitch and is trying to help the team as much as he can. I think every goalkeeper needs to have that type of personality. You have to have a really, really big character to play in goal anyway – and want to be responsible for the team.

Fabianski was a regular in the side’s Carling Cup team and also in the first match of this campaign’s F.A. Cup.
