Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes William Gallas responded “like a real professional” to all the up and downs he has had throughout the season. Wenger told the club’s official website:

Yes, he is playing well. I have said many times that after a major incident he has responded like a real professional and has dealt well with the situation and that is what we want.

Gallas was twice under the spotlight this season, first for a cigarette photo and then for blasting his Arsenal team-mates.
