I`ve had enough of A.C. Milan chasing our best players – Clichy simply has to stay put!

Whether you like him or not and whether you blame him for our fall last season or not, you simply can’t deny the fact that Gael Clichy has always been one of the few who always, always, gives 101% whenever he plays.
Yesterday, news came out of an interest from A.C. Milan which the defender considered “flattering”, as he told L’Equipe. And of course, such news make you wonder. I am one of those who was impressed with Kieran Gibbs’ performance throughout the season, but for God’s sake, Kieran is not even #1 in Google when you search his last name, he’s not even in the Top 20!
Sorry, back serious.
Not long ago I was speaking to a fellow Arsenal supporter who asked me how long will Kieran have to wait before taking Clichy’s regular role after a number of disappointing performances from Gael but even if that happens, how many teams would afford to have someone like Gael as a substitute? The same can be said of Gibbs of course, but if one of them is sold, as soon as the only regular gets injured, well, we’ll be in deep trouble indeed.
Flamini left, and he also was one of those who just never stops running and we missed him badly. If Clichy follows the money and his French International at A.C. Milan, it would be another big loss for the club. Again, Gael may make some silly mistakes sometimes, but many are down to inexperience(he’s only 23) or lack of concentration, nothing which can’t be fixed that is.
