Following a recent interview by Dutch striker Robin van Persie, Arsenal supporters can’t wait for the Dutchman to put pen on paper and end all the speculations about his future. However, coach Arsene Wenger revealed there are no news on the matter. He said:

I think when he signs a contract we will tell you, don’t worry. There is no news on whether he is close [to signing] or not. Either you sign or you do not sign, the rest is no news, it’s just speculation.

On the Gunners’ upcoming matches, the Frenchman added:

Of course [April is important], not just for us but any given team. March, April and May defines your season of course. We have put ourselves in a very strong position because of the hard work we have done now but now it’s the final part of the season where every single game becomes massively important.
