Manchester United vs Arsenal: Team line-ups

Submitted by Chris on May 16, 2009 – 13:05 3 Comments

Adebayor not even on the bench as Toure and Song start in central defence with Denilson and Diaby in midfield despite failing to impress throughout the season. Arshavin starts up front, alongside Robin van Persie.

Team line-ups for today’s game:

Manchester United

Van der Sar, O’Shea, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs, Rooney, Tevez.

Subs: Kuszczak, Neville, Anderson, Berbatov, Park, Scholes, Rafael Da Silva.

Arsenal

Fabianski, Sagna, Toure, Song Billong, Gibbs, Nasri, Denilson, Diaby, Fabregas, Arshavin, van Persie.

Subs: Mannone, Vela, Walcott, Ramsey, Silvestre, Bendtner, Eboue.

As usual, tune in at the end of the first 45 minutes for the half-time report.

I don’t understand why Diaby. Again. The worst option. Bendtner, Eboue, Vela, even Ramsey would by much better. Diaby haven’t got solid match for how long? Half a season?

  • Chris says:

    This is Wenger mate.

He will insist on Diaby over and over again until he excels in one game, so as to then say, “see, I was right”.

And I agree of course on Nick and Vela, they both deserve to start.
