Arshavin interview, “My best mates off the pitch would be Cesc, Bendtner and Toure”

Submitted by Chris on May 20, 2009 – 17:15 6 Comments

Andrey Arshavin’s official web site published a 7-question interview with Arsenal’s midfielder which was published two days ago of which we are providing an extract. For the complete interview, kindly visit Andrey’s official website at http://arshavin.eu/news.php?id=406.

Q: Who do you have the best understanding with on the pitch? Who are your best friends off the pitch? Who works hardest during training?
A: Who works hardest? You can’t give any less than 100%. The manager won’t allow this and team-mates won’t appreciate that either. Victories come through the hard work during training. We have strong discipline, everyone gives their best in training and on the pitch.

My best mates off the pitch would be Cesc, Bendtner and Toure. On the pitch I have good understanding with everyone, I wouldn’t want to single anyone out.

Q: Do you expect to win many trophies at Arsenal? What are your expectations/hopes for next season? How many goals do you think you will score?
A: Of course I want to win many trophies. From the next season I’m exoecting victories: in the Champions’ League and in the Premier League. How many goals will I score? I don’t want to talk about this, since my predictions never materialise.

Q: What, if any type of player is Arsenal lacking right now?
A: I think we need to buy 2-3 players, but it’s up to our manager to decide which positions he wants to strengthen.
