Tomas Rosicky, “My endurance tests are even better than when I signed with Arsenal”

Submitted by Renzo on July 1, 2009 – 17:30 13 Comments

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky is optimistic ahead of the new season and believes he will be fit for the Gunners’ first game of the season.

He told Czech media Sport:

Now everything is good. I did fully train with the squad two weeks before the end of the season and everything went fine, even if there’s a long way to go. I am currently in the Czech Republic and I hope I’ll bounce back.

I am missing the competition. I am looking forward to the start of next season. My endurance tests are even better than when I signed with Arsenal. I was worried when I came back in training, but everything is fine.

Playing alongside Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott makes you feel comfortable and I think that I’ll quickly forget that I’ve been out for a while.

I’d really love to see Rosicky get back to 100% and play a role this season. He seems a good chap and, like Eduardo, has really been up against it from the injuries. A fit Rosicky gives us more than just an extra midfielder, it gives us added flexibility in the midfield on formations, player selection (to rest players when needed) and could be critical in getting a challenging performance from the squad.

I’m delighted to see Rocky is doing well and I also believe his return will be as magnificant and needed as Eduardo’s. Not having Rocky in our side was one of the major factors behind the disappointments of last season just as Eduardo’s absence was.

Rosicky is such a good player!

He was missed very much last season. Everyone will see the difference it makes having him back in the squad next season and him being FIT!

If arsenal sign (now we cant get Melo) Lorik Cana, Veloso or Mamoudou Diarra to fill the defensive midfield position our mid-field will be excellent!

In defence we already haved signed Vermaelen and might be getting Naldo who is a good defender (tall 6′5/powerful/great free kick/ excellent in the air) and with Toure looking set to leave the Emirates his sale will ballance the books!

We should play 4-3-3 as our formation!

    Team should be:

    Almunia

    Sagna Gallas vermaelen Clichy

    Lorik Cana/Veloso

    Fabregas (c)

    Nasri

    Arshavin Rosicky

    v.Persie

Was a top player and I hope it all turns out for him, but I’d be surprised if he came back the same player.
Sure his endurance might have improved, but he really liked to use his pace and his acceleration over short distances was a real asset to him.
I’m not saying he cant bounce back, but he might be a different type of player. He’s immensely talented, RVP said he was the most talented player hed ever played with I think, and his experience should see him coming back as an asset to arsenal in some capacity.
Love his attitude, and wish him all the best!

The return of rosicky is just like a new signing 2 arsenal. Is just 2 pray 4 injury free 2 all our arsenal players, when the new sesson start. Up Arsenal

  • Casicky says:

We’ve missed da lil mozart,um not oin to jump and say we would have won things had he been fit but damn we a better side wiv him in the line up no doubt…its goin to be really incredible t see that number7 up and running again um really excted bout it already hopefully he wont have a set back but i guess we have to pt it in our minds not to expect him to be back to his wonderful best but “My enduranc tests are even better than when i signed with Arsenal” i men thats jus even better aint it hahaha come on Rosicky!!!

  • i think we rosicky back and fully fit. we need his drive and quality and his experience can only improve us. with eddy fit and firing on all cylinders we would turn draws in to victories and put a sustained challenge for the league title.

  • Mandela says:

looking forward to see him come back.. so he will become a new great signing for arsenal. he can play very well on the side and good in defensive midfield too..and would be efficient if he play alongside with song and fabregas. so, shoud arsene chase for another defensive midfield?? just waste money..

  • Mandela says:

hei Status.. where did you get those cana and veloso??

  • gerald arunga says:
