Experience is the key for Almunia, “We need the manager to work harder to get what we need”

Submitted by Renzo on July 10, 2009 – 14:30 2 Comments

Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia told Champions magazine how experienced players are to be added to the squad if the Gunners are to fight for titles.

He said:

It’s great to have a young team but youth doesn’t give you titles. To go a step further players need to demand more of themselves, be more professional, braver in big games.

We need the manager to work harder to get what we need, the club to make an extra effort to make us more competitive. We need more than youth.

I totally agree with Alumnia… Enough of the supposed talents… As a matter of fact i don’t see it… We passed Roma,in the champions leagues, with pure luck and we,in fact, finished fourth because Everton was blown by injuries and Aston villa has a small squad…
I know that Arsene Wenger does not have the funds and it is regrettable… With the status of Arsenal he should get at least 30 to 40 millions for every transfer period…
I know that we can not compete on the market but we should be able to attract some value players…
I heard that Wenger is going for Matuidi… This another young (22yo),with few experience and who is going to leave for the African Cup!!!…
    Well what about Cana(Marseille),Chamakh (Bordeaux),Chellini (Juventus),Veloso (sporting lisbon),Plasil (osasuna),etc…
Grimandi is our eyes outside England… What is he doing???
    Peace

Hebert, correct, these problems can’t be solved with youth, matuidi is good, probably better than we have, but he won’t help us win the league. We need serious players now.
