Tomas Rosicky, “According to my fitness coach Tony Colbert I could have been playing at the end of (last) season”

Submitted by Renzo on July 10, 2009 – 17:45 9 Comments

Tomas Rosicky not only revealed he’s ready to be part of next season’s action but also said he could have played last season, if only doctors didn’t decide against it.

He told Sport:

I think I will be back in the autumn. According to my fitness coach Tony Colbert I could have been playing at the end of (last) season as he thought my fitness was okay.

I think it was obvious from the training that I was ready to play, if not for 90 minutes. But the club decided not to play me. They saw that I was okay, but maybe they just did not want to take the gamble.

Until I play in a league match I will not be able to tell what my chances are, but when it comes to fitness alone I am in better shape than when I came to Arsenal.

And your point is? The only reason there’s any chatter about Tomas is because stupid people take paper-thin articles in the press seriously. In this case it’s THE DAILY MAIL. When last did the MAIL contain anything of any substance. Remember the article inciting the sale of Cesc? Of course, the fault is not with a bunch of leeches passing as journalists, but with the thickies who believe what they read. With them sound argument and logic simply doesn’t work. Use language everyone can understand like: TODAY’S ROSICKY ARTICLE COMPLETE BOLLOCKS – AUTHOR SUPPORTS SPURS. That’ll hit the spot.

Es, I’m not sure I understood the meaning of your comment mate :)

  • Herbert says:

    Let’s put it this way…
If I had control of Arsenal I will make sure to sell Fabregas, Adebayor, Gallas, Eboue, and some of those youngsters…
I will give the captaincy to Toure ( I don’t even know why Fabregas got it at the first place as he is not captain material and not up for the challenge…)…
I will then buy player accordingly … 2 srikers, one defensive midfielder, put Arshavine in place of fabregas,2 right wingers and 2 central defenders…
Remember each positions should be double, that is how it is done in big club…
You realize that Arsenal is not a big (not yet at least) club…
We have a big stadium and some average fans(yes average when you look at the liverpool ones we are far behind!!)…
I envy Manchester United,Liverpool and even Chelsea fans…. Their boards and organizations are getting things done…
    Let’s hope for the best.
    Peace

Chris(TGH), you are doing to your reputaion what King Herodes did to Syrian baby-sitting industry if you say you cant understand es arguments mate. As of Herbet, you are absolutely bonkers and you sound like you forgot to take the tablets which were prescribed to you.

There are many more anti Arsenal people in the media who simply hide behind the platitudes they spout. Have you ever seen anything like smirks on the face of certain BBC presenters when things dont go well for Arsenal?

  • Chris says:

Then help me understand how a Rosicky interview ends up with someone speaking of Spurs fans, Goonerbeall :)

And please, refrain from insulting other readers, they are entitled to their opinion just like us.

  • Herbert says:

Well Goonerbeall, you should keep your frustration in your pants… There is no need to be abusive…If you can express yourself, ask and someone will help you…
We all are Arsenal fan (not you alone!!!) and we are also talking about our frustrations and envies…
Since you are such a die hard fan,you could may be tell me if we can do better next year, with the same squad and with a main striker who,in fact, does not give a toss!!!

Have you seen Vermealen played before?
I did I was leaving in Amsterdam for a year… believe it he is more than average, which means not very amazing…
And that is what we need, amazing players (according to our wallet, well nothing basically)…

Also I had the chance to hang out with Liverpool supporters and Manchester United fans and they are amazing…
I am Arsenal fan and had the chance to follow Arsenal and go the Emirats… One word, the Arsenal fans are very close to rubbish, turning their back to the players when all goes wrong (Eboue,I was there… What a shame) and should have a go at the board… But I guess it is to much of a task… It is easier to stick the coach and the players (A thing Liverpool,Man U,Newcastle and even Chelsea fans will not do).

Anyway I know I will get loads of abuses for my comments, but that is what a real fan is about… I see the faults and what could be improved (to the best of my abilitie)…

Are we going to win the league? let me answer that ,NO WAY…
Are we going to win the champions leagues? HELL NO!!!
Are we going to get second or third spot? DAMN NOT
Are we going to get fourth spot? MAY BE, UNLIKELY THIS YEAR…

  • Herbert says:

    Sorry for the double comments…
I cliked the thing twice and it would not edit.
