Didier Drogba on ex-Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira, “We’d take him anytime”

Written by James on October 8, 2009 – 4:00

Inter Milan midfielder Patrick Vieira is tipped by many to be leaving the Italian giants after failing to find a regular place in Jose Mourinho’s side. Besides Arsenal, his old club, Chelsea seems to be interested in the 33-year old.

Speaking of this, striker Didier Drogba told RTL:

Patrick Viera will be a good addition to our squad, if we can recruit. We know that we will lose two midfielders in January. John Obi Mikel and Michael Essien will be in Angola for African Cup of Nations.

Vieira? We’d take him anytime. We played against him in pre-season in America. He was ready, in good form and match fit.
