Having joined Arsenal from Werder Bremen despite suffering from injury, Amaury Bischoff failed to make an impact with the North London club and was forced to leave to guarantee himself a regular place with another team.

The 22-year old, who left the Gunners to join Academica in Portugal, told Foot Mercato:

I make a lot of very good friends. It was a very big club where the atmosphere was very good.

I was training with great players, playing at the Emirates Stadium, starting in the Premier League, the best league in the world: that’s some of my best memories.
