Tottenham Hotspur could face Arsenal without five key players this weekend
As if losing at home against Stoke City last Saturday wasn’t enough, Tottenham Hotspur are facing a long list of injured players ahead of this weekend’s visit to the Emirates where they will face Arsenal in the North London derby.
Aaron Lennon, Jonathan Woodgate, Ledley King, Jermain Defoe and Luka Modric may all be out due to injuries or suspensions whilst the Gunners will welcome back Samir Nasri who will make his first appearance after breaking his leg in tomorrow’s Carling Cup game against Liverpool.
Eduardo, Nicklas Bendtner and Tomas Rosicky are all expected to feature for the Gunners who are slowly recovering all their injured players as they look to consolidate their place in the Top Four.

“as they look to consolidate their place in the Top Four” ??? Nonsense. Arsenal is not looking to consolidate its place in the top 4. We are trying to win the freaking league.c
Wow, take it easy mate, whoever is in the top four is automatically fighting for the title. What is “non-sense” is to read “top four” as in ending fourth when clearly it means either 1st, 2nd, 3rd OR 4th.
exactly……for me i think Arsenal will 1st or 2nd nothing else mate….we are strong NASRI is back as well as EDU….so ww will be there men….
its all about context “consolidate position in top 4″ may bring out the meaning that being in the top four is what we’re aiming for…. which to most of us 2nd 3rd or 4th is not good enough but yeah take it easy everyone we all want to win the league this season.
Dont believe the hype. The scum will have Lennon, Woodgate n King available n we should plan for that.
Very true Sean, the Gunners should hope for the best but above all plan for the worst!! Hope AW is reading this and wont be outcoached again!!
Amen. More like looking to consolidate ourselves at the top of the league…5 points back with a game in hand is hardly playing for 4th. Regardless, we will definitely beat the scum this weekend and I have the distinct pleasure of watching it with a friend of mine who’s a Tottenham supporter. Ha ha
tell’em yon
Arsenal our focus this season is to win trophies but we do not know how many we will part with, as this season looks promising not consolidating to top 4
the spuds game is a must win bcoz of what happened at upton park and in holland those two games can go a long way in denting the confidence of our players with nasri rosiscky eduardo and bendtner back i think its time to bench diaby and it doesnt matter which scum team turns out we have to win this game to get back on track.
This season league can be ours(arsenal), because since day one of this season one of these so call top 4 drop points. So gunners should reduce mistakes like at westham, then league will be our
i don’t think anyone is thinking of ‘consolidating our place in the top 4′. we don’t consider the top 4 unless we have to, we are only looking at getting as close to champions if not champions as possible. being in the top 4 is only relevant at the end of the season as a consolation with the championsleague, it’s not what we’re interested in all season. like i said the only thing on an arsenal fan’s mind is how many points off the top we are, not how many we are above 5th. everyone’s reaction here shows that.
We dont care who they play with. We will beat them anyway. Come on Arsenal.
Please Arsenal is not a team to consolidate for position 4.What position are we right now(3rd with a game in hand). We are aiming higher to win the premier and even the Champs league.
As Clichy said recently – they should not depend on others, who plays and who doesn’t, just focus on our game and we have enough strength to defeat the spurs. Just keep up the tempo, be confident, and do not give up before it is over.
We fans need to b supportive in every way, and mind what we say on net about our club. Arsenal are lifting trophies this season.
So what? At the emirates we will beat them with or without their key players.
“consolidate fourth place”. Am boycotting this site for two weeks. We are trying to win the league not “consolidate fourth place”. Aaargh!!!
benkim, you chose the wrong moment to post this rubbish of a comment. The guys update you with Arsenal news FOR FREE, and in return you act like a child because of your silly interpretation of consolidating fourth place.
Two weeks? I may ban you from the site forever for being so ungrateful.
