Emmanuel Adebayor hints at Fabregas’ Arsenal exit but Wenger’s reply is immediate

Submitted by Jeffrey on October 31, 2009 – 3:00 19 Comments

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed he’s not interested in what papers are writing on Emmanuel Adebayor. According to The Daily Mirror, the Togo International declared that the likes of Cesc Fabregas and others will leave the Gunners if they fail to end in the Top Four.

On these comments, the Frenchman decided to opt for a professional approach and said:

Frankly, I’m not really bothered about what he says. Why should I react to quotes that may not even be accurate?

Arsenal face Tottenham Hotspur today at 12:45BST as they keep on fighting to reach one of their season goals, the top of the English Premiership.

  • John Muhindo says:

Adebayor why still talk about Arsenal players? Is this your business in Mancity? Forget all about arsenal news because you left in bad faith.

  • Jack Staniforth says:

There are some players who are just trouble where ever they go, whether his comments are true or false he is just`trouble`. Wenger is right in ignoring him but he could have a word with Mark Hughes.

  • Damn_Gallas says:

adebayor should care about his own place in man city… with robinho, santa cruz, bellamy and many others… city is not short of strikers… if adebayor does not play well and is too obsessed with arsenal, then he might just get benched…

    anyway… adebayor is a bastard.

  • Jason says:

Jealousy is a bitch. Arsenal have much more of a chance of ending in the top 2 let alone top 4, i doubt man city will end up in top 4. So who cares wat he says! Fab is commited to our cause so we need not worry

  • I dont know the problem with Adebayo. He is know more Arsenal player why should’nt he focuse on his game? Wel i did’nt blame him, he is an Africa man

  • adebayo shuld kip his toilet shut. he knows his career is done. so he luks 4 ways 2 intimidate other arsenal players to endup lik him. after he has played what he has learnt 4rm arsenal and he doesnt learn new skill or improve he wil start 2 depreciate. and eventually end up in hullcity or wolves. hahahahaaa!

  • Mikolysis says:

Don’t mind Adebayor he is still an arsenal fan inside him. His true confession of leaving arsenal is yet to come and I’m sure must regret in time to come. Again our goal this season is not to maintain top four level but to win d league & other trophies .

  • shir says:

let adebayor stay focused and think deeper be4 he speaks out his childish and sly thinking otherwise arsenal will stay and won’t fall apart as he thinks.

  • kariukijames says:

Hi, Mr Adebayor should mind his own bussiness,Wenger took him that far and all hes doing is turning back showing disrespect to Arsenal,he is angering us shouting and screeming about arsenal whereas we hi v got other business to do,actually he should be ashamed and expect wonders from arsenal this season.!!!!!

  • Obbo Misaki says:

Adebayor stay focused and think speaks out. Arsenal will stay and won’t fall U think. May be u r arsenal fan but anyway we dont need u. Y dont u just tell us y u left Arsenal, i have a conviction that u are already regreting y u left.Be informed that our goal this season is not to maintain top four level but to win da league & other trophies

  • Adebahoe says:

We all know why ade is so obsessed with the arsenal. Concen8 on getting citeh 2 the cl first then u can talk about arsenal missing out.

  • Odu says:

So what will happen to him if mancity does not end among the top four? Since his problem is money, which team will over pay like mancity? Adebayor should just mind his business and his team. He has left arsenal and should forget about what happens there.

  • gilbert says:

l think ade should just shut up because the team he joined is likely not to win any trophy

  • GooerSaki says:

Ade thought when he leaves Arsenal there would be a disaster but what he is seeing at the moment are goals flowing from every where yet he failed to score freely last season.
Please shut up your black big mouth and begin concentrating on Money City.

  • Theogene says:

Adebayor is not in his mood, he has a psyche concern.
He has to worry about his own things and leave Arsenal alone.

  • prince says:

listen to who is talking!!!ade WHO??
he still loves arsenal and is missing US much.the best thing to do is just keep mute him:he feels so hurt.but,WHO CARES?

  • Arsenal4Ever says:

Now why would a player comment on their ex-team players? He’s still close to Fab? Where is he getting the information from?

what is this guy trying to prove anyway? that he left because arsenal wasn’t getting any silverwares? if not, then why the comment on fab leaving? i’ve seen a few interviews in Ade and in those interview, the mentioned how much he loved arsenal. it’s just utter BS now that he’s making such comments. to me, he is double-faced and EVERY MANAGER should be wary of him, coz you’ll never know when you will disappoint thi guy and he in turn will make stupid comments again.

Adebayor has shown great disrespect to the most important aspect part of the football world – FANS. Be it arsenal fans or any club’s fans. Accusing them od jealousy is sending a statement that he is ABOVE the fans. Saying that it was the fans who caused him much hurt is pure childish. in football world, it is the fans who pay his salary! why would arsenal bother to build a 400Million stadium? to increase the fan-base. Me, as a fan, am extremely upset when Ade accuse me of jealousy.

  • obama says:

i agree with u,ade is just regretin coz money cnt buy beatiful futbal is playn nd am sure he watches all arsenal games nd espec cl
