Emmanuel Eboue, “If Paris officials were to offer me a deal, the reply would be positive”

Submitted by Renzo on November 3, 2009 – 3:00 7 Comments

Ivory Coast International Emmanuel Eboue was speaking to Le Quotidien du Foot on his present and future, revealing how he would not say no if Paris Saint Germain came knocking at his door.

The Arsenal right back said:

I don’t believe that I will break my contract at Arsenal, but I would like to try something new at some point.

One day I would like to play in Ligue 1. I like that league, there are a lot of surprises and developments.

If I went there, I believe I would sign for PSG. They are a club I admire. If Paris officials were to offer me a deal, the reply would be positive. We will have to see what happens.

For now I am at Arsenal and I am focused on the season here. Next summer we will have to see.

Hmmmmmm…don’t know what to make of this. My feelings on Eboue have always been very love/hate. He’s usually either brilliant or atrocious…but hardly ever consistant. In my opinion he is a RB/RWB and not a midfielder. Unfortunately, we have a better player in Sagna, who has dramatically improved his crossing…one thing eboue trumped him on. If he does go, we should look to replace him. I know we have our own youth coming through, but i would love to see daivde santon come in. that kid is arsenal class.

Eboue first ask for permission from wenger, adebayor and Toure left in not clear way and Helb can also tell you what happens when you leave arsenal. “Avoid to flop after lleaving arsenal”

Eboue would be better suited to PSG.. by now and at his age he should of fitted somewhere in the team as regular starter… but he hasnt …and why? he is a misfit.. he’s not better than sagna at RB and he’s not better than Diaby or Denilson and Song in a Midfield defensive role..

As an attacking midfielder he always tries.. i’ll give him credit for that..but never does anything special… he is just a link up player, but you rarely see anything brilliant from him..a through ball or an assist for example.. or even a great goal once in a blue moon would be even nice !!

We have better link up options… eboue just cant make the grade at arsenal..i thought that was obvious.. but to AW ’s eyes he is just a handy substitute for Sagna or maybe wallcott

wise speaking african guy.He knows where he came from and where he is right now.He respects his manager, club and the fans dats why he is still seeking permission first from his manager who nurtured him from where he was

I think the writing’s been on this particular wall for some time; question is why would he specify PSG…?
Perhaps a versatile French under 21 CD could be the answer; and maybe deals have already been done… whad’yer think?

Great Stuff, I will buy your plane ticket to france Eboue

Eboue I really like… but I confess he makes me nervous most of the time… even when he’s doing something brilliant…

He actually makes me more nervous than Abou Diaby does to other Arsenal fans…
