Harry Redknapp admits Spurs could have signed Thomas Vermaelen
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp will not only be disappointed for his side’s 3-0 defeat against Arsenal but will also be upset for failing to sign Belgian International Thomas Vermaelen who is producing back-to-back impressive performances for their rivals.
Redknapp told The Mirror how the 23-year old was offered to them but he preferred not to sign him as they were pretty much covered in the left-back position.
He said:
Vermaelen has done very well. I was recommended him as a left-back but we were strong in that position.
People who recommended him didn’t speak of him as a central defender, but he and Gallas look very solid at the back. He’s very strong at left back and in central defence as well.

they got ZAPPED! sp*rs suck, end of story.
Redknapp, Had i Known! Vermaelen is a star. That is why wenger is special in selection compared to other managers at minimum cost.

Good for us and Vermaelen (Arsenal is a better team than Tottenham). Wenger is really great. We are lucky to have him as our manager.
