TheVermaelen /Gallas partnership is perhaps above anything else the single most important determinant on whether the Gunners go on to win the premiership and Europe. In the past few seasons we have lost critical games and points because we became unhinged and bulldozed or lost concentration at the back! To win against Chelsea and lay down the gauntlet to other title contenders, Drogba has to be shackled 90minutes and i believe Vermaelen has the credentials for that, he is brave, intelligent , uncompromising , proud and emotionally charged! And thats what one needs to keep that Gladiator Drogba, quiet,. This was vitaly missing in past campaigns. I for one will determine whether we can win the league after this particular game. it will provide alot of insight into our true strength!

(I think we are confident if we play our own game. If we do, we can beat a lot of opponents but we have to do it in every game and that is the most difficult thing.)

Spot On Vermaelen! There is no denying Chelsea is the strongest team in the EPL at the moment and one of the top European Clubs. They have a big squad of very experienced players. They play direct football and are very patience and has great composure in breaking down defensive teams. Arsenal on the other hand is a youthful team and suspectible to pressure but has gained much experience over the years and is growing in confidence and from strength to strength this season. Arsenal play attacking and creative football and with many of the key players coming back from injuries,Arsenal is definitely worthy contender for the title. The number of goals scored this season is the highest amongst all the clubs and the good news is the goals are coming from all depts. Something which MU, Liverpool lacked. The match against Chelsea at the end of this month would served as a litmus test for Arsenal for their title challenge and the Champions League title.
