Emmanuel Adebayor, “I love Arsene Wenger, and I will always keep that love for Arsene”

Submitted by Jeffrey on November 7, 2009 – 3:00 12 Comments

No longer an Arsenal player after leaving last summer to join Manchester City, Emmanuel Adebayor declared his “love” for Arsene Wenger, the manager who made him the player he is today after signing him from Monaco.

The Togo International was also speaking on the Carling Cup ahead of the clash between his new club and Arsenal.

He said:

I love Arsene Wenger, and I will always keep that love for Arsene – he is the person who made me what I am today.

I just want to show him what he has taught me in the three years that I was there, and that is the main thing I will keep in mind for the quarter-final next month.

What happened last time is gone. I’ve told everybody I am sorry for the incident. I made a mistake. We all make mistakes, then you correct them. It won’t happen again.

I was at Arsenal for years and I have nothing against them, the emotion just took over. I have so many good memories of my time there. It’s going to be a good feeling for me to play against them.

he’s obviously saying this because he just realized how miserable of an experience he’s gonna have when he visits the Emirates.
Sorry ade, what’s done is done, and football fans have long-lasting memories.

  • Craig86 says:

hahahaha…enjoy finishing behind us in the table you money-grubing waste of space!

  • John Muhindo says:

Ofcourse adebayor has inferiority complex in him, so his trying to gamble life by loving wenger as he did to move to mancity, which is still tricky for him to servive the Guns.

i love ada and i am a gunner fan …but remember…..let manchester city spend how much they want….they will never get a champions league qualifing spot and they will never finish above eight in the compitition.

It was always going to come, that Ade will miss the Emirates especially when he realises that he was the stumbling block as when he left the Gunners are flying higher than when he was their anchor man. Ade l know how it feels especially when you leave uncerimoniously but please take heart you will miss all those passes averaging 30 per match from the Arsenal midfielders, right now you get less than a third of them whole match at Moneycity.

its to bad he’s so arrogant

he fit so well into arsenals style, i dont think any of us can deny his quality as a player,
when he was actually working hard for the team he was a force to be reckoned with.

but he ended up showing his true colours. come on ade, your time is at hand. complete toolshed!

  • Chrism says:

**** off Adebayor you lazy, mercenary cock!

  • Adam Smith says:

I have seen many players come and go from the Arsenal, and without doubt this guy is a money orientated mercenary and I don’t believe one word he ever says, as in the past he has been a master of contradiction and leopards never change their spots.I would go as far as to say he is the worst character ever to don our shirt, and his disruptive influence in the dressing did nothing to help us last season.

  • KGB says:

You love him this much? Why not invite him out for a date then? It makes no sense to me why Adebayor decided to set fire to the Highbury ( the real and original theatre of dreams!) bridge just because he was crossing it. Now he wants to kiss and make up. Too late bro.
