The Game
Was Diaby’s injury a blessing in disguise? That’s surely the question many are asking after seeing the Arsenal struggle for the first 10-20 minutes but come out and dominate after the introduction of Alex Song.
After that, it was smooth sailing for Arsene Wenger’s side who won both of this week’s game by four goals to one.

Player Ratings
Almunia: 6 – A very similar game to the AZ one with the Spaniard having almost nothing to do but conceding in the end.
Gallas and Vermaelen: 7 – Were caught napping in the first half especially in one particular Wolves set-piece but recovered well.
Sagna: 7,5 – Another terrific display, full of energy from start to finish. Arsene Wenger’s rotation is paying off for Bacary.
Gibbs: 7,5 – I was skeptical about his defensive skills last Wednesday but he shut my mouth today as he did well in that department too.
Diaby: No Vote – I prefer not to vote Abou although if I would it won’t be more than 5. Let’s just hope his injury is a minor one.
Fabregas: 8 – He’s producing back-to-back convincing performances, glad to see.
Arshavin: 7 – Can we say quiet game for the Russian? I keep on saying he’s keeping the best for Chelsea, Andrey. Still managed to score a very good goal today though.
Ramsey: 7,5 – This time last season I wanted Aaron to start. Today he started and passed the test with flying colours. More of Aaron, please.
Van Persie: 6,5 – Three misplaced passes in the first half which could have set-up easy chances for his team-mates and a bit selfish up front in the second half, but was still very good throughout the game.
Eduardo: 7 – All in all a very good game by the Croatian. Involved in our first two goals and a constant threat to Wolves.
(Subs)
Song: 7,5 – At his usual best.
Nasri and Rosicky: 6 – Not much for these two although they went close to score, both of them.
