Wolves’ day-after thoughts: Bring on Chelsea and the top of the table!

I know that day-after should have been Sunday(I was busy) and I know that we have to play Sunderland before facing our lucky and loved-by-referees rivals, but I simply can’t wait for November 29th to come. After watching our game on Saturday and their game on Sunday, I am more than convinced that it will be a two-horse race this season and in three weeks, the first chapter will be written at the Emirates.
The Wolves Game
Before the game, I wanted the lads to cancel all the poor away games we’ve had this season by winning easily and apart from the first 20 minutes where I was worried that was not going to happen, the scoreline was indeed the one I was hoping for. It was a nice open game and credit to Wolves for keeping their word and go for it rather than park the bus.
I’m not sure if the late conceded goal was the result of the team relaxing knowing that the game was won, and hopefully, something like that will not happen when the score is goalless or we’re ahead by only one goal.
Aaron Ramsey
Before the game, many were surprised to see Aaron starting and Alex Song on the bench but I think after the 90 minutes, many are now understanding what Aaron can bring to our midfield. Many remember I wanted Aaron to be involved more this time last season but never happened unfortunately. This season, he’s guaranteed 15-20 games and that’s nice to see.
Now there are two areas in which Aaron can be judged: when going forward and when defending had to be done. Offensively, he showed what he’s best at: good with the ball in his feet, great vision and very unselfish.
Defensively, I was also impressed. In the first 20 minutes when we were hanging on, he was one of the few who was full of running and doing the dirty work right. What was nice to see is that in previous games where he was involved with the “regular” side, he used to keep the ball more than he should, as a way to show how good he is, but on Saturday, he was more mature in his role and meant business by giving it all in all areas of the pitch.
Adverts
A small note on adverts. As you surely saw, we added a banner at the very top of the website. As per our advertising policy, we never place adverts inside articles so as not to distract your reading pleasure and this will not change.
Looking Forward
Our beloved Arsenal will be back on November the 21st, day on which we face Sunderland, away from home. I will take advantage of this break to make some minor adjustments to the website whilst the rest of the team will still keep you updated with Arsenal news, especially those which we maybe missed in the last week or so.
Until then, dear friends, take care.
