Thomas Vermaelen to rivals, “We are involved in the race to be champions”

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen sent a strong signal to Arsenal’s rivals by declaring the Gunners mean business and are part of the title race.
The Belgian International was speaking to Arsenal TV Online after last weekend’s 1-4 win over Wolves in the Premiership which came days after their win in the Champions League with the same scoreline.
He said:
If we look at the rankings, we are second and it is a message to other teams that we are involved in the race to be champions.
It is good that we have had a good series of games, it is important to continue and stay focused on every game because there are a lot of important games.
