Cesc Fabregas says Gallas “problems” are now a thing of the past

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas declared the Arsenal squad is very united and minor issues which affected them last season are now behind them.

When asked about last year’s comments made by former captain William Gallas in which the Frenchman questioned the character of his teammates, Fabregas said:

We don’t think about it anymore and are happy with the way things are going at the moment.

The dressing room has always been really together and kept believing. Even if we did not win anything last year, we were really close and in all the competitions right until the end, so the mood in the dressing room is always really positive.

On his captaincy and what it meant to him, the Spaniard added:

The captaincy hasn’t changed me at all. My team-mates have done a great job for me as well. They showed me they believe and help me with everything.

There has never been any trouble, so I am very happy with how things are going.

It`s encouraging to read Fabregas`s comments on dressing room unity and I`m quite sure that this season it is very true and it shows. The past is the past but last year there was some disturbing factors which didn`t help, these are now gone and the atmosphere is much better.

  • Williams gallas is now a change man both on the pitch & off the pitch. He is now showing us y we bought him from chelsea.Last season he had problems wit kolo toure & dat esposed our defence.Toure was sold,D Vermimator came in & said he sees gallas as role model & happy 2 pertner him, things change 4 him and he started playin wel again.D confidence in our back 4 has increase, gallas now have d go ahead 2 overlap bcoz he new dat vavavoo takes no shit, both of them keep scoring important goals and ready 2 score more.Dat tells u Fabrigas is doing a gr8t jobt,dt whole team supports him & dat has kept us going dis season.Gr8t london gooners

    Hi
It’s always good to hear and read all this as it shows the kind of maturity borne within our team which is a remedy for better things to come for them and the fans alike. As we keep our faith in this young enterprising squad ,we rest assured A.W.knows our expectations together with what his current crop of players wish to achieve as this will give them the energy and morale to give their best and win more trophies and bring Arsenal back to the glory days of the invincibles. All in all once we gauge our performance against Chelsea and then get a good result against them, then we will achieve all there is to be achieved but key to such success will come by being able to overcome not only the big four or so teams but by beating all the lesser teams in the EPL and ECL.Our only hope is that at the critical point of all the competitions we will be involved we would have lesser injuries to our team and moreso to our key players but A.W. being and experienced manager knows what is entailed of him before the official transfer window is open and probably will sign a DM and CD to ward off such calamity.
