Thomas Vermaelen, “I’m not satisfied yet, there are improvements I can make”

Written by Renzo on November 17, 2009 – 3:00

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has had a brilliant start with his new club but apparently, he’s not satisfied as yet.

The Belgian International who has been in superb form at the back for the Gunners, believes there are still areas where he can improve and that he’s every day learning from other players and staff.

I’m not satisfied yet, there are improvements I can make. I am learning from other players and the coaching staff and I want to improve every single day.

I am very very pleased with my start. But the most important thing is to keep playing like this, and we are still early in a long season.

I’m definitely not worried about scoring – I haven’t scored for a few games now anyway.

For me, and any defender, I am more pleased with a clean sheet than scoring myself.
