Cesc Fabregas, “At Arsenal I am developing a good season and my dream is to win titles”

Submitted by Renzo on November 19, 2009 – 20:00 5 Comments

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas is on a mission: to win titles with the North London club. The 22-year old, who is satisfied of his season so far, declared he is focused on the present and is not thinking of what the future may reserve for him.

He is quoted as saying by Spanish radio station Onda Cero:

Now I am very calm and without injuries.

At Arsenal I am developing a good season and my dream is to win titles there. Still, I don’t think about my future. I’m focused on the short term and don’t look beyond that.

I have a great responsibility to my club and now is not the time to think beyond that.

Yes Fabregas, for arsenal, last season was Friday when jesus died, this season is sunday when jesus rose from the dead. Not all days are fridays. However you have started talking about short terms not beyond, yet you have long term contract with arsenal; what do you mean?

  • paul says:

Benzema had dreams at lyon too, bol.

Why is everyone attacking Cesc Fabregas?. Being Arsenal fans you are supposed to wish the best for him!. Why do you always make it feel like he will betray somebody if he leaves for Barcelona?!. He has every right to do that if he wishes. Don’t you think he has given Arsenal enough in the last 6 years considering that he joined for free?. EVEN IF HE LEAVES TODAY, all Arsenal fans have an OBLIGATION to respect his decision. He kept our team up when we were on the verge of a free fall, he has kept enough sanity and humility for a player of his age and quality, he has never been short of commitment to US HIS FANS and for quite sometime, he has been the reason you don’t want to miss a single game. WHATS WRONG WITH A GENIOUS FOOTBALLER WANTING TO PLAY FOR BARCELONA?. Cesc’s desire to play for Barcelona is more normal than a Man’s desire to have a woman. FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE, before you hate on Cesc, just remember Barcelona is his hometown club, don’t all of you always say that east or west, home is the best. Having said all that, I also have to suggest that if Fabregas says one word it is printed in a million newspapers under different titles and broadcasted in every radio and TV stations several times a day making it sound like he has REPEATED IT A MILLION TIMES. Why can’t you fans ignore media influence and concentrate
on the beauty Fabregas is bringing to Arsenal and Premier League all by himself and hope we can hone the skills of the likes of Jack Wilshere in the same position so that when catalans come for their son, Arsenal will replace him with an Englishman and they will never have to worry about people reclaiming their son from them. WHEREVER HE GOES, I AM A FABREGAS FAN FOR LIFE, AND I KNOW, WITH OR WITHOUT HIM, GUNNERS WILL ALWAYS SHINE.

I concur with the last arsenal fan(Freddy) that Cesc has every right to do what he deems is right for himself and as TRUE ARSENAL FANS we should respect his decisions .We have seen great players leave this club that we all love but that does not mean is the end of everything thanks to A.W’s youth systems that never ceases to amaze everyone in the football fraternity and his ability to scout and bring in unknown players and convert them into future superstars. We need to focus on our current squad bringing in trophies this season as already shown by the commitment of most players in the club and the superb football displayed by this group of players.A.W does not need our guidance on what to do as we all know that he is an expert in these matters of football ,so lets wait and see what he does for our beautiful club in the current season.
