Samir Nasri will not fill Alex Song gap in January according to Arsene Wenger

Submitted by Renzo on November 19, 2009 – 4:00 7 Comments

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger denied that Samir Nasri will fill the gap to be left by Alex Song when the Cameroon International will be involved in the African Cup of Nations.

Speaking on Tuesday, the Frenchman said:

No, [he is not a replacement]. I do not say that he could not, Samir is very tactically astute, but he is attracted forwards. He loves the offensive game.

We have Denilson who can fill that role. He is more suited than Samir at the moment. Samir is more a player who has pace, is versatile around the box and can finish. It would be a sacrifice to put him down there. Also he has a little handicap in the air.

He likes [that defensive role] and certainly, technically and tactically, he can do it but I believe he can be more efficient up front.

I agree with the coach but also Abu diaby can try Alex Song`s number, in case Denilson is not there.

Don`t know the players capabilties well enough to make a comment, I`m sure there are enough `bar leaners` to advise Wenger on that issue. All I will say is Mr. Wenger has enough talented players to cover most situations and he`ll do just that. Now to Sunderland.

Agreed, but we still need two to three players before we can be champion, trust me, if wenger buy a solid DM, outstanding STRIKER, and CH, just three players, we would lift the champions leaque cup and the leaque cup.

My advice to Wenger is that, yes we have good players, but he should remember also, our enemy ( INJURY) is always after us, if he refused to buy then he would regret it, take a look at it, if Vermer injured, what would happen?, Wenger go out and buy, or cry again at the end of the season, make haste when the sun shines

For Sunderland game I would like to see:

    ………………………………………….Galls…………………Vermaelen…………………………………….
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
    ………………Sagna……………………………………………………………………Silvestre……………….
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
    ……………………………………………………….Song………………………………………………………..
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
    …………………………………………………..Nasri/Ramsey………………………………………………..
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
    ………………Eduardo/Rosicky…………………………………………………Arshavin/Vela……………..
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
    ……………………………………………………….Diaby……………………………………………………….

It is important that Song picks up a yellow card as he is on 4 already. If he does so then the game he misses will be the league cup game against Man Shitty before we play Chavski.

Nobody can fill Song place and work ethic …!!!
    Simple as that !!!
