Dennis Bergkamp, “I would like to train and work in England”

Written by Jeffrey on November 27, 2009 – 3:00

Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp is more and more looking into a coaching role for his future in the game of football. The Dutchman, who retired from football in 2006 believes his future may be in England, as head coach.

Bergkamp was quoted as saying by Dutch magazine JFK:

I would like to train and work in England. Only not as head coach but as member of the staff, so I can work with the strikers.

Head coach is a job that takes 24 hours a day and doesn’t suit me. As player I wasn’t like that either.

As head coach you come home, watch videos, go to other matches, prepare the next training, that is not something I expect to do.
