Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas declared the Gunners should sign a strong striker in the January transfer window as a physical presence up front can make the difference.
The Spaniard added how a “normal” team like Chelsea are doing well thanks to a top-class striker like Didier Drogba, reason why the Gunners should indeed sign someone with the same features of the Ivory Coast International.
Fabregas said:
We had a lot of possession but didn’t have anyone to go in behind the defence apart from Carlos Vela. We had lots of players who like the ball into their feet. Sometimes you need a different kind of option.
Overall, I saw a Chelsea team that was normal but a team that has probably the best striker in the world. We had lots of players who like the ball into their feet. Sometimes you need a different kind of option.
An average team that has the best striker in the world can always do something and Didier Drogba makes all the difference.
