Arsene Wenger’s first injury update ahead of Liverpool, “We have problems with many players”
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger provided his first injury update ahead of the crucial game, at Anfield, against Liverpool.
Emmanuel Eboue, Tomas Rosicky and Nicklas Bendtner are sure absentees but all other players should be fit to start, albeit minor knocks.
The Frenchman said:
We have problems with many players. If you look at the players who started the game Stoke certainly Eboue and Rosicky will miss this game. Everybody else should make it.
There are little knocks and bruises here and there. Who could come back? Eduardo and Diaby maybe could make the squad. That is the news we have at the moment.
Gallas, Traore are still doubts but I think they will make it. Fabregas has a back problem and Arshavin has got a bruised foot too but I think they will make it too.

You have a point Mbuya, we sometimes pass the ball way too much around the box we need to take more shots like denilson does not try to pass until we walk the goal into goal. O and wenger really must buy atleast 4 players in da transfer window we’re in our worst injury crisis ever,and he has the nerve to say that he MIGHT buy a striker? Don’t get me wrong AW is our best ever manager and one of the greatest in football because of his knowlegdge, instinct,trust in his players, and his stubborness, but any great manager would realise that at the current situation we’re in, he would or should be buyin atleast 3 or 4. We definately need a goalkeeper,especially a worldclass one for games like these,coz how many times has Almunia flopped and cost us a victory. We need to buy Lloris from Lyon. Mertesacker he’s a big tall no nonsense defender, khedira from Stuggart a cdm, and a striker maybe Podolski, Gignac, Toni, Palvenchenko(tottem hotspur russian dude), Huntelaar, and what about Farfan from schalke.

Wounder if archivan can interchange with faber gas but it lives us short for mid play tactic on 2 if they can create a wall castling and from there we bombard Liverpool how good can he defend with diaby if he is fit replacing sanderos we should have fast movement i think it should work

How can u play Senderos at LB he has no pace he would be slaughtered,i think we should play Fabianski,Sagna Gallas Vermaelen Silvestre(more experienced),Denilson Song Fabs,Nasri Arsh Walcott(pace to burn to stop there FB attacking).If we play 4-3-3 we can beat them but we must have guile of Arsh,Fabs,Nasri and pace of Walcott to get into them.If Diaby fit plus Vela Ramsey Eddu we would have a strong impact bench to call on……….Come on you Gunners……

I dnt lik what wenger is doing even a blind man knows dat arsenal need a striker. And dat striker has 2 come 4rom english league. Specifically Agbolahor.
Damn I got a bad feeling on Sunday… We will lose the match if Arshavin and Fabregas miss that match. We will lose too if Diaby plays.
I would be delighted, based on the amount of injuries our squad currently have, if wenger plays Almunia in goal, Sagna as RB, Gallas and Vermaelen as the CBs, Silvestre as a LB.
Song and Denilson as the holding midfielder and Fabregas as the creative playmaker.
Upfront would be Walcott on the right, Arshavin as the main attacker and Nasri on the left.
If walcott could not make it, then I would bring in Ramsey or Diaby to play in his role. Otherwise, Vela would play on the left and Nasri on the right. Merida is another player that I would definitely consider playing if need be. Wilshere too.
I would have no problems if wenger decides to play walcott as the main striker too.
The reason i play silvestre ahead of traore in the LB berth is because, I think that silvestre is more experience. Furthermore, he has improve alot from last season. He has more urgency now in his play. Whereas traore, I just dont feel safe when he plays.

A couple of minor problems, you have picked 14 outfield players and Nasri twice, unless a small rule change regarding the amount of players one can field and Nasri has a twin brother has passed me by, then all sounds great.

We keep saying we need a big striker why dont we go for Heskey he is the best CF in the country and he is not cup-tied also he would not cost a lot,he needs to sign for someone in Jan as he needs more playing time for W.cup,its no good saying C.Cole Pavlechenco they will cost too much,AW only needs another option while Van is missing,Heskey would jump at the chance to play in Europe for us,i think he would also get some goals for us.
