Carlos Vela after contract renewal, “I will keep working hard to show the Boss and all the fans why I’m here”
As The Gunning Hawk reported last August, Mexican striker Carlos Vela has extended his stay, at Arsenal.
The youngster, who was in action last Wednesday away at Olympiakos declared he’s very happy and will work hard to achieve important objectives with the rest of the side.
Vela said:
I’m very happy to sign a new contract and I’m very excited to be spending more years with Arsenal Football Club. I just want to work hard and help this great Club win trophies. I want to stay here for a long time and it’s a great responsibility. I will keep working hard to show the Boss and all the fans why I’m here.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was also delighted to see the Mexican commit for a long-term period, and said:
We are delighted Vela has signed, he is a fantastic talent, we have already seen glimpses of this in his performances.

VIVA ARSENAL!!!!
I’m glad cos he’s great….the only thing is…..Wilshere, Merida, Fabregas, Vela, Ramsey, Walcott, Nasri….and Now arsharvin…..All brilliant in their own right…but seriously how many small technical midfielders do we need? I wish they were all a foot taller. strength will come…..in a few more years!!!!!
Anyone think we should be pursuing Gingac? + another Cental defender (preferably a greenland giant)?
vela has to score soon mate or he will be hanged….
