Arsene Wenger: No, Thomas Sorensen is not the player I tried to sign
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger rubbished rumours saying that Stoke City’s Thomas Sorensen was the player he tried to sign just before the end of the January transfer market.
With Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski not convincing, it was rumoured that the Frenchman tried to sign a new goalkeeper but in his pre-Liverpool press conference, Wenger denied the rumours replying with a “No” to the question.
The Gunner will be in action tomorrow, at the Emirates, against Liverpool, a game which would put their third place in jeopardy if they fail to get something out the game. On Sunday, they lost 2-0 at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea, a big blow for their title hopes.

the man did not try to sign anybody, trying involves making reasonable effort, the only thing he tries at doing is to deceive the fans.
I would take Sorenson or Jaaskelainen, tomorrow over Almunia, Almunia is in the bottom 5 gaolkeepers in the league in my opinion.

Top/better than we have goalkeepers not in a top club in a top league…
1. Akinfeev
2. Adler
3. Lloris
4. Patricio
5. Mandanda
I keep hearing rumors that Buffon wants out of Juventus…we could still get 3-4 great years out of him…
