Sloppy first half performance from both sides… But Arsenal played much, much better in the second… Can’t say there was just one goal in it though, the match was a sure lot more open than that. Cesc wasn’t at his best, now amid rumours that he has agreed on a verbal deal with Barcelona (as published by a Spanish publication)-losing his head, is he? For sure none of us want to see him go.
Bendtner sure missed a sitter, can’t see how and why Arsene is keeping this boy ANYWHERE near the 1st team or on the bench right now; he still needs time to grow as a player.
Diaby on the other hand, is getting into the groove… he is having a great season with the gunners, and here’s hoping we see more of this young, talented player winning it for the gunners in future matches…
I agree Aresenal were sloppy in the first half and at this level every opportunity needs to converted to goals as was the case with Chelsea against us on Sunday. Two chances , two goals (3 chances if you include the free kick bar)
The difference is the (Drogba) ability to finish and without Van Persie and normal free scoring of Ashavin, Fabragas and Nasri, we having to rely on Bendtner. Missed he did, dived he also did, but suddenly there was someone on the park who was showing a bit of mustle and causing a problem for the defenders who are used to pushing Arsenal about. The more he was on the pitch the more confidence he was showing, and quite frankly if the midfielders keep sending high balls into the area, I would prefer someone with height than the midgets with skill we have at the moment. I am not nessesarily a fan, but give the Dane some time and better service, and we will see the results
BENDTNER DID CONFUSE THE DEFENDERS – BUT HE ISN’T A GOAL SCORER, EITHER YOU HAVE IT OR YOU DON’T. HIS FIRST TOUCH ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH BUT HE DID CAUSE POOL PROBLEMS. NASRI WAS LOOKING GOOD BEFORE SUB. ROSICKY NEEDS TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE. WALCOTT GAVE US NOTHING. IT WAS A GOOD WIN!! BUT WE STILL HAVE TO FOCUS ON CHELSEA & MAN DROPPING POINTS – WHICH ISN’T IDEAL.
We have to hope we dont drop points either gooners..
Lets get real here…But.. if we can win every game till the end of the season..we sure have good chance of that..
Can we win 12 games on the trot including games in the chanpions league.. A tall ask but not impossible.. i just cant see it happening though.
Guys, good comments. I think Wenger is dping a great job – developing a young team. But Bentdner is just not gonna work, he’s slow, unskilled, he’s the weak link on Arsenal’s attacks, breaks off wat hard working midfield develops.. Even in this game, Fabregas CBA passing the ball to Bendtner, because he knows he will just screw up. Think Arsene should loan him to a smaller club with less expectations, then he mights pics himself up a bit. Arsene should INVEST on a striker like Torres, Drogba. Universal strikers that just FINISH things right.
fakinel hahahaha. great name
What a relief. It wasn’t convincing but at least we got the points.I tought Bendtner made a difference.Yes, he can be a bit lazy and uncomposed but he gave us something different. Some strength, height and the option of crossing. If the opposition don’t know what to expect every time it gives us a more balanced attack.I thought Diaby showed some drive in the second half also.
I think people are being harsh on bendtner, you can still see that hes not fully fit yet and even when he doesnt score what would you rather have, a 5 ft6 striker causing problems for CBs or a 6 ft 4 striker causing problems for CBs???
