According to manager Arsene Wenger, Arsenal striker Robin van Persie could feature again this season for the Gunners. The Dutchman suffered ankle ligaments injury on November 28 and has been sidelined since but according to the Frenchman, he could be available for the last couple of games of the season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Wenger explained how the 26-year old is yet to start fitness work but if he suffers no setback, he could indeed help Arsenal by playing in the last games of the Premiership and Champions League, if the Gunners keep on going.
Wenger said:
If you ask me is it the beginning of April, I would say categorically no because he has not started any real fitness work yet.
Once he starts that, it will take at least six weeks.
Maybe (he will be back) at the end of April if all goes well. If there is no setback, he should be back before the end of the season but it is very difficult to predict.
