Eduardo: No way I’ll see Martin Taylor’s tackle which almost ended my career

Written by Renzo on February 23, 2010 – 4:30

It could easily be described as one of the most horrific tackles in the history of the game of football, yet Croatian striker Eduardo was lucky his career was not ended when Martin Taylor tackled him two years ago in a game between Birmingham and Arsenal.

Exactly two years after that day, Eduardo was speaking to Brazilian website Globoesporte and confessed he didn’t see the tackle in video and has absolutely no intention of doing so. The 26-year old also added how the Gunners can win both the Premiership and Champions League this season as the team is getting more and more mature.

He said:

I haven’t seen (the tackle), no way, and I don’t think about it or talk on the subject. I don’t like to be reminded of negative things, I only try to think positively.

With every year that passes the team is getting more mature, better. When you come to a club like Arsenal, which is already in the top 10 in the world, you can only improve.

I don’t dream of playing for anyone else, everything is here. We can win the Champions League and the Premier League.
