Alex Ferguson on the title race, “Arsenal are bang in the frame now”

Only last November, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was predicting a two-horse race for the last part of this season’s English Premiership. But, dropped points from the top two and sheer determination made sure Arsenal closed the gap to only three points, with the Gunners clearly having an easier set of fixtures.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official website, Ferguson did admit that the Gunners are now back in with a shout but added how his side will keep on fighting until the end to retain the Premiership title.
He said:
Arsenal are bang in the frame now. They have the easiest programme on paper and it will be an interesting run-in. Chelsea losing (to Manchester City) was a good result for us, but there are a lot of hard games left.
We lost to Everton and we were a bit tired. But we recovered against West Ham and we recovered again (against Aston Villa in the League Cup final). We have shown time and time again that this football club has determination. They don’t give in and that is a good quality. You will see that in the remainder of the season. We won’t give in.
