It doesn’t take much for Andrey Arshavin to shine for Arsenal and on Saturday afternoon against Burnley, the Russian only needed twenty minutes to get chances and score. The 28-year old was coming back from injury but speaking to his official website, he now confirmed that “in general”, his leg does not hurt anymore.
The Gunners will host Porto tomorrow in their attempt to recover the 2-1 defeat of a fortnight ago in the Champions League with captain Cesc Fabregas to carry out a late fitness test to determine whether he can be part of the game.
On his game and the injury, Arshavin told arshavin.eu:
It was a little bit difficult. Thirty minutes is a lot for me. Usually 20 minutes is enough for me to score but today it took more time. About the game? I tried to be a threat to Burnley’s gate. When opportunity appeared, I tried to score. It happened once.
In general, my leg does not hurt any more.
