One of the best players for Arsenal at the moment is certainly Frenchman Samir Nasri. Despite not enjoying the same form showed against Porto on Saturday, the 22-year did incredibly well when moved into a more central midfield role to replace captain Cesc Fabregas. On his new role, Nasri declared he performs better, but added that for Arsenal he is ready to play anywhere, provided he secures a regular place.
According to the News of the World, the Marseille-born playmaker explained how he is indeed ready to play in a role he doesn’t like for the Gunners, even if it could mean not being selected for the upcoming World Cup Finals. He said:
It’s true that when I come back into the middle, that’s where I feel most effective. I will play anywhere for my club and I just hope it doesn’t cost me. It’s very tough to see you’re not involved for your country but I’m convinced I will be given a chance.
There is still time before the World Cup squad is named. In recent weeks I feel I have been getting back towards my best form and that is very important with the end of the campaign we have in store.
