One of the best players for Barcelona against Stuttgart in today’s game after hitting a brace, Argentine Lionel Messi was speaking before tonight’s game on who is a threat for the Spanish giants, declaring how English Premiership teams are always a danger. The 22-year old admitted Wayne Rooney can help Manchester United achieve important objectives but also added how Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, so similar to Barca, cannot be underestimated.
Speaking on the Gunners, Messi added how the amazing technique of the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Andrei Arshavin can easily be compared to that of South American football with the Ballon d’Or winner admitting that they are to be considered for this year’s Champions League.
Messi said:
Once again, I expect the big challenge to come from England in the Champions League. I see United as a threat because of the lightning-fast way they change tempo and they now have a striker who cannot stop making an impression in Rooney.
Finally, Arsenal are a team to consider because of their fantastic build-up play. They are like us at Barca in so many ways. Rather than being from London, they should be from South America. Andrei Arshavin and Cesc Fabregas are touch-players I love to watch.
