Having missed important games for the Gunners in the last month, Russian midfielder Andrey Arshavin is ready for comeback.
Because of a number of injuries, the 28-year old failed to hit top form this season and was bitterly disappointed not to be able to help the team when they needed him the most, in games against Tottenham and Wigan last week.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the Russian also analysed the season of the Gunners, explaining how they scored a lot of goals, some of which in the last fifteen minutes of the game. Arshavin will be hoping to make his long-awaited comeback this weekend against Manchester City, a very important game for Arsenal if they are to secure third place in the table.
He said:
I am recovering and I hope to be back for Manchester City. This season has been tough, tight, sometimes it was even difficult for me and my team but in general it was not bad. Hopefully we will win the last three games.
It was a shame for me. I was watching as my team was losing but it was a shame because I could not help my team-mates.
We have got a lot of goals at the end of the games, we managed to do some comebacks and we have to use that spirit next season. We can fight again next season.
