[Rate The Rumour] Arsenal Transfer Rumours, 27/06 – Mario Balotelli and Christian Eriksen

Submitted by James on June 27, 2010 – 22:00 20 Comments
Starting the last week of April and going through the summer, The Gunning Hawk will bring you one article of the most creative and sensational of Arsenal transfer rumours. Of course, please understand that most of them – if not all of them – are “wrong”, to use the same word used by Arsene Wenger. But, it will interesting to discuss what it would be if one or more transfers do indeed go through.

June 27

An Italian striker a very talented young midfielder recommended by Dennis Bergkamp are today’s players linked with a possible move to Arsenal.

According to Italian version of the Eurosport website, Arsene Wenger is ready to make an offer for Serie A players Simon Kjaer and Mario Balotelli. Though the Danish centre back could be likely considering the emergency at the back, it is highly unlike the Frenchman will sign another striker after Marouane Chamakh.

In other news, it seems former Arsenal striker Dennis Bergkamp has recommended Arsene Wenger to start monitoring and eventually sign Ajax’s Christian Eriksen. Manchester United and Chelsea are apparently also interested in the 18-year old who is the youngest player of this year’s World Cup Finals and featured in his country’s 3-1 defeat against Japan in the last game of their Group.

And finally, yesterday’s results. A quiet day as we registered a little more than 650 votes with Ivan Dzoni getting 171 positives votes and Sami Khedira – who featured in today’s brilliant win over England – getting 298 positive votes.

  • vissy says:

Please Arsene bring to us the japan player Honda because at the momnt this is the best player of the WC so will be graet if you bring to Arsenal

  • madu says:

    wenger nos best

  • santori says:

Balotelli no thanks. Poor attitude and we don’t need another striker.

  • Emos A.B.U(zaria) says:

Another striker might not be necessary.what we need now is:a good keeper, one or two defenders and a mid-fielder

  • benjamin says:

it is not neccesary 2 buy another striker ,moreover baloteli is not a gud boy

  • kuba says:

Ballotelli will be pact inanother Adebayor-like player.will go elsewhere immediately after striking an im EPL

  • Karl says:

    Wenger please buy luiz suarez

  • Henry Omeogu says:

I can’t say we don’t need another attacker, since RVP is prone to injuries- very good striker though, but what is most pressing now is a defender and a goal keeper.

  • michael says:

Ozil!!!!!!!!!!!!! 20m worth it…. 8m on konscienly and 3.5? swhzar not that im happy id rather spend 10-15m on Hart.. for 10+ years not 3.5m for 1 or 2 years id like to see this line up…. would probably cost around 30-40m

    Hart, Almunia?, Szcenzy
Richards, Sanga, Koncienly, Verminator, Djorou, Clichy, Gibbs
Song, Fabregas, Ozil, Diaby, Wilshire, Ramsey, Nasri
Chamakh, VP, Walcott, Arshavin, Vela, Bendenter

    Hart – 10-15m
Ozil 20-25m ( but very worth it )
    Koncienly 8-10m

Sell Eduardo for 8-10m+ while we still can, sell Rosicky for 8.5m while we still can, sell Denilson 5.5+ so these sales would bring around 20m+ that could be added on to the money that was made available at first hand whitch some people believe to be around 30-40m add 20m that could take our WAR CHEST to around 50-60m, so Buy Ozil the amazing nippy Midfielder for 20-25m, that would leave us with about 30-45m then go for Hart with a 10-15m bid and then Konscienly for 8.5 or 10m any Money left over i think rebank or defence with Gary Cahill, Fazio, Micah Richards ( who is a Arsenal fan )….. i think this team would be a bloody feard team.

  • ondgooner says:

I have closely followed the votes and at this rate, we will buy every & any player that becomes available. I feel what we now need is a complete overhaul of the team so we can start all over again. If we can also limit our purchases to only Germans, Argentines & Spanish, we will do well as these are the countries so far setting the WC alight.

Please no more French players, their time is now gone!

  • Allen Gooner says:

Mesut Ozil wud be the perfect replacement for want away Fabregas….but my fear is that the German’s price tag will be improved to probably double what he was worth before the WC begun. Consequently Wenger’s policies may render him unapproachable.
Mario Balotelli wud be a good buy but Inter wont let go.
Mark Schwazer….definitely better than Fabianski; But Joe Hart would have been far much better.
    Taiwo is a no no.

I would like Wenger to finally change his buying policies….times have definitely changed and so should he. If not, Man city will have the best of us.

  • NOBLE says:

I want Mesut Ozil, Enyeama for a keeper – nigerian, Eden hazard, and Alexis Sanchez. For defence – AW knows best!

  • Jason says:

Why all of us look on players on WC only?
Players from Czech Republic, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Russia, Sweden are also good…
I dont say Ozil or Balotelli arent good…
Ozil is showing great quality in this World Cup!
But so do the price gonna be expensive too…

I still hope that Hart will join us, but its look unlikely…
Koscielny looks like he is joining us…
Simon Kjaer, Gary Cahill are the candidates I look on to replace Gallas.
But don’t know how Arsene thinks about them…

Eduardo has been told that he is allowed to leave…
Well, Bendtner and Vela may get to play more next season I guess…
    So Balotelli is not needed…

    Erikssen is for future…
Just like Wilshere, Randall, JET, Nordtveit…

  • Dhaval says:

One player i wanna see in Gunners T-shirt is and has been for long is El Nino..i know he’s too expensive and this and that if we’re gonna spend around 15 on Mario then why not persuade him in around 35 with selling off of Nick,Edurado and Rosiscky or some1 else sell someone not so good raise money and get him..when we can sell 3 can afford atleast 1 El Nino in wages as well..and with him coming Fab will surely stay and with RVP and El Nino upfront well we can run riot for defenders we are getting1 Verme has been awesome get Hangeland as back up he is good tall and committed and get Sol for a year..c’mon what say no loan deals for Wilsher he comes home..so we should not have prob for covering some1 we sell..Wt say?? and Torres is just 25 he’s got good 5 yrs in him by any standards..
