As the Spanish National side is getting ready to face a very tricky evening match on Tuesday, Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has again said he’s only focused on the World Cup.
Speaking to Ona FM about his present and future, the 23-year old did however add how it would not be a problem if he is to return to Spain, explaining how Barcelona – the club he started with as a child – is his home and that he would have no problems in settling down as sensational people would be around to help him.
The midfielder was also full of praise for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger saying how he means everything to him and how he would probably be less popular in football as he is now if it wasn’t for the Frenchman.
Spain take on Portugal tomorrow night in what promises to be an exceptional game of football with Fabregas, yet again, set to start on the bench.
On his future, Fabregas said:
I won’t think about anything until after the World Cup. It won’t be a problem if I return to Barcelona because Barca is my home. The people there are always sensational in the way they treat me.
[Wenger?] He means everything to me. He is the person who put his trust in me.
Without him, I don’t know if I would be a professional footballer today. I owe him a lot and I have a special affection for him.
