Tomas Rosicky, “Everyone wants to play, and I’m no different”

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky is hoping to be involved more in Arsene Wenger’s squad this season as he set scoring more goals as an objective.
Speaking to iDnes.cz, the Czech International explained how just like any one player in the squad he would be delighted to feature more from the first minute and with the Gunners involved from this month in the Premiership, Champions League and Carling Cup, enjoying more time on the pitch will be a possibility.
In Arsenal’s first games of the season, either as a regular or as a substitute, the 29-year old demonstrated that he can still be a very useful asset in the middle of the pitch as he confirmed how he is completely recovered from injury.
Rosicky ended by saying how scoring more goals is an area where he can improve as together with providing assists to his team-mates, it could be a weapon in his armoury to secure a regular place for the Gunners.
He said:
It could be better as I have been in the starting line-up just once. But from September there will be two games every week, so we will see if I get to play more.
Everyone wants to play, and I’m no different. But in every game there are seven disappointed players who don’t make the XI.
I feel well and hopefully I have done well. If laying on assists does not help me into the starting line-up, then maybe I need to start scoring. To be fair, I have not done too well in that department.
I am not panicking though.
