Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has already set his objectives for this season and winning the English Premier League is part of the plan.

Speaking to SkySports.com, the Moroccan explained how life at Arsenal has been relatively easy since joining from Bordeaux as manager Arsene Wenger helped him settling down and making him feel welcome at his new club. Already on the scoresheet for the Gunners this season, the 26-year old added how his game will improve further as soon as he settles down completely.

Chamakh also said how the squad is mentally feeling good and aiming high this season, with the English Premier League as one of the objectives, title which would end the Gunners’ long trophy drought started five years ago.

The striker joined Arsenal from Bordeaux on a free transfer and has been in impressive form during pre-season and in Arsenal’s first three official games of the season finding the net in the home game against Blackpool on day two of the Premiership.

On his objectives, he said:

I am delighted to be back in my country as an Arsenal player.

I am settling in well and the coach [Arsene Wenger] is doing his best to make me feel welcome at the club.

I know that once I get settled, my game will improve a lot. The players have welcomed me also and I feel part of the family and the morale in the squad is good.

We want to win the Premier League this season and we are all focused on that.
