Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has no intention of changing his football philosophy as he targets trophies with the Gunners.
Despite missing key players in the offensive department, Arsenal eased past Bolton last Saturday and speaking after the game the Frenchman explained how his squad is made up of very talented players all having an eye for goal, reason why fans who watch them play will always enjoy an offensive style of football and plenty of goals.
Wenger said how Arsenal fans are not just happy to win as they want to do it the way it should be done and with his current set of players winning and also entertaining is a possibility. The manager added how the project he started years ago is finally blossoming as all his players are on the same wavelength.
The Frenchman concluded by saying how this is a very important season for Arsenal as their rivals are all in a very good shape and although difficult, it would be a huge achievement to win something.
I just feel we slowly built an offensive style. People come here and see goals, and that’s the most important thing.
We have players who are offensively gifted, talented and we have a collective game that can be played at a high pace so we can create goals and chances.
I think the Arsenal fans want to win and be entertained – the target is to win and to win with style. I think both go together.
We went for a change a few years ago to grow a team together and try to create a spirit and attitude which gets everyone on the same wave length.
This season is an important one because we have to show we can win with massive competitors – Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea.
It will be very difficult, but I believe we will have our word to say.
