Despite playing live with punk rock band Tři sestry from the Czech Republic, Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky believes his guitar skills are not “really that good”.
The 30-year old started playing the guitar three years ago after spending almost a year on the sidelines with a hamstring tendon injury and speaking to Arsenal TV Online he explained how it’s great fun and a way to relax.
Asked about his passion for heavy metal and if he ever tried to get it on in the dressing room, the Czech International confessed that he tried but failed as almost all other players prefer R&B and dance music.
Rosicky concluded by revealing how Swiss defender Johan Djourou plays the piano but also how no-one else in the squad fancies himself as a musician.
On his love for music, Rosicky said:
I started [to play the guitar] three-four years ago, I just wanted to try it, it’s great fun, my way to relax but no, I’m not really that good.
I’m not just a metal fan, I love guitars and that’s why I started to learn and play it.
I tried [to put metal music in the dressing room] but no chance, I wasn’t successful, all others are in R&B and dance stuff.
Johan Djourou is playing the piano but I don’t think anyone else plays.
