Tomas Rosicky: This is the strongest squad since I’m at Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky believes the Gunners are well-equipped to win the English Premiership this season even if the level of the game is on the rise.
Speaking last week to isport.blesk.cz, the Czech International explained how it is no longer the same teams fighting for the title as the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also up there with the midfielder admitting how the quality of the English Premier League is so high that a team is punished as soon as they suffer from a loss in concentration.
Asked why many don’t consider the Gunners as favourites for the title, the 30-year old said how he has no logical explanation for this as Arsenal are doing well, were top of the table two weeks ago and can go on to achieve their objectives.
The former Borussia Dortmund start featured in yesterday’s disappointing 2-2 draw away at Wigan at the DW Stadium as he concluded by saying how this is the strongest Arsenal squad since he joined the Gunners in 2006.
On Arsenal, Rosicky said:
It is not about four teams as it used to be. Others have joined the race – Manchester City and Tottenham.
The quality of Premier League teams is so high that if you step off the gas you are immediately punished. If you go to Wolves, for instance, it is a war from the kick-off to the final whistle. Still, this is why the Premier League is so thrilling.
I don’t know why we should be considered as a team which cannot win it, especially knowing we were top of the table two weeks ago. We will know more after the Christmas spell but I’m optimistic.
I think this is the strongest squad we have had over the years I have been with Arsenal.
